Update: It is a day later, and my heart has been convicted about something I said. I need to apologize for saying that Mr. Stein should be shot. I lost my mind for a day, because...it does not matter why. It was wrong, I apologize, and I will try not to write when I am that angry.
No, I do not believe people should be shot or even go to jail (unless they leak top secret, classified information). This would not be a free society if that were the case. I just wish people like me, ordinary folks, were heard 1/10 of the time that the loonies are heard. It tends to drive one nuts. Sorry.
You think a human life should be ended over an article that mild?!!!?? Messed up.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right. To think that someone who is sitting in his office writing all these informative articles about the Military would be assaulted with such words!
ReplyDeleteWhat is this country coming to? After all, just because he's never been in the Military, doesn't know anyone in the Military, never read a book about the Military, doesn't give money to charities to help the families of the Military, doesn't know the base entry level pay of a Military person, etc., doesn't mean he doesn't know everything damn thing there is to know about the Military that keeps his punk ass living!
Go away, you weasel. You do not want to get me on your bad side. Talk about President Bush, and I don't care. You would be a twit, but that's not my problem. Talk about a policy, that we could debate and discuss.
But don't you EVER talk to me about the MILITARY you a**hole! I will give them a parade everyday of the year. YOU do not seem to realize we are at war. Okay. SHUT UP anyway.
Some men lead, some men follow, all others get out of the way. Have a nice freaking day.
Well, here's a policy we can debate: a person should/should not be killed for the things that they say.
ReplyDeleteI'm not from America, so I can't comment on the military from an internal perspective. Honestly, I don't want to be critical for the sake of being critical, and I really do want to understand things for what they are. I CAN tell you the opinion the rest of the world has of the American military, though: that they have a policy of killing people for sharing different beliefs. I really, really want to believe differently, but I have to tell you, I keep meeting more and more Americans who reinforce the concept of an agressive, angry, vengeful people who look to war for a solution before a diplomatic one.
I mean, all I did was state my opinion that people shouldn't have to die over words, and you responded by anger, insults and even threats. In Canada, we believe that if a country is unwilling to admit the mistakes they have made, then it does not deserve the power it weilds. Are we to die too, simply because we are not American as apple pie? It just seems to me the message America sends to the world is: "be like us, exactly like us, or die!"
First, please allow me to apologize. I was upset, and I flew off the handle.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that people should not be even jailed for the things they say, let alone put to death. That would be wrong and horrible! I would never love a country like that.
You are also right that I acted like a jerk, although you had the manners not to put it like that. I take back any threats I made. I cannot hurt a fly.
Seriously, I capture them and let them go outside! lol.
Please understand one thing, though. We have been called names, threatened, physically assaulted, and abused by the Left in this country. We have not said a word. I thought you were one of the people I told never to contact me again. I was wrong. You are way too polite.
Allow me to add an update. lol. I promise, I am calmer today, and I am ashamed of my behavior. Thank you for helping me to calm down.
How did you do that? You acted like a human being when I was in pain. You treated me like person when I did not honor you with the same. You actually practiced Christianity, whether you are a Christian or not. That convicts my heart (I pray) everytime! Thank you.
You had a very election a few days ago. I hope things go well with you. Have a nice day.
These are some of my other sites: Causes of Interest and Iranian Bloggers in Jail.
ReplyDeleteI try to support the people outside of the government, such as free speech, life, stop genocide, etc. I also try to give them a voice. One that the government will not allow them to have.
Have a nice day.
PS. I did not mean to put "very" in the last sentence of "You an election..." ;)
