Training and leadership in Lutifiyah.
LUTIFIYAH — In the early morning of Aug. 16, a combined force of U.S. and Iraqi Soldiers conducted “Operation Babylon” just outside Lutifiyah. The operation marked one of the first time Iraqi forces have taken the lead in a mission since taking over responsibility for the Lutifiyah area Jun. 15. [keep reading]

Coalition Forces Free Kidnap Victim.
KIRKUK, Iraq – Bastogne Soldiers of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division freed a kidnap victim and captured three of the terrorists who had taken him hostage just outside of Kirkuk today. [keep reading]
