NGEF & NGAUS Work Toward New Exhibit

The National Guard Educational Foundation (NGEF) is welcoming donations to fund a new, permanent exhibit honoring heroes of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom at The National Guard Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Among some of the items the exhibit will feature are a full uniform of an Arizona Army Guardsman who served in Iraq as well as a ballot from the first post-Hussein Iraq election.

The exhibit also will feature the shell casing from a round fired from a Massachusetts Air Guard A-10 Thunderbolt II at loyalists to Saddam Hussein.

This new exhibit carries a $50,000 price tag, which the NGEF hopes to raise by June 30. In order to reach that goal, the NGEF is looking for 100 pledges of $500 each.

Donors will be invited to attend the Dec. 6 dedication of the OEF/OIF exhibit, during NGAUS' Industry Day.

NGEF will acknowledge donors on the exhibit sign. Donors to date include:
Col. Bob Felderman, Lewis O. King and Associates, Arrowpoint Corporation, Geppetto Catering, Sikorsky Aircraft, Raytheon, Fairfax Management Solutions LLC, Lockheed Martin, Freightliner LLC, Precision Lift Inc., ITT Industries and AMEC.
Donations are tax deductible. Tax receipts will be issued to all donations of $500.

If you would like to make a donation to the OEF/OIF exhibit, contact Jason Hall, NGEF director, at 202-408-8887, or Hazell Booker, directory, industry and association liaison at 202-408-5888.
