Operational Updates
I have been ill early this month, and that is why there is not that much written here. My apologies. What I have is from CENTCOM. BTW, you may also receive e-mails or feeds from CENTCOM. To subscribe, click here. For a feed to Press Releases, click here.
The NGAUS Notes are now available. I don't know what happened to the Legislative Update.
On the 20th of January, the Iraqi Army and the Multi-National Forces worked together and freed a kidnapped victim.
On January 23, 16 terrorists were killed while 10 terrorists were detained in raids.
Also on the 23, the Mine Countermeasure ship arrived in Bahrain [USS Gladiator (MCM 11)]. They will be taking over for two decommissioned ships.
Let us keep our fingers crossed for this cautiously optimistic good news: Iraqi Army Unit Gains Full Operational Independence.
The SecDef met with General Pace in Bagram, Afghanistan.
There is also an article about Air Force Maj. Matthew R. Glover. What a great guy!
This is a must read if you want to understand the enemy. Al-Zawahiri Video on Bush's Iraq Security Plan.
For each link, there is a link within them that will lead you to CENTCOM. They are the ones who wrote these articles. Aren't they great?! :)
