Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service

The Department of the Army awarded Patti Patton-Bader the Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service. Patti is the lady who single-handedly put together a program known as Soldiers' Angels.

This is a program that allows people from all over the world to adopt a Soldier, write a letter at least once a week, send care-packages, and visit wounded Soldiers.

There are also many things you can do for the wounded Soldiers.' The best option is to adopt a wounded Soldier through their Project Valour-IT program. This isn't all that can be done, however. You can also donate other items.

There are packages of items that have necessities that the Army (or whatever branch) may not provide, such as a shaving razor, a blanket, get well cards, and a whole list of items.

Blackfive has been a very special friend to all whom seek information about this project, information about what is really happening either overseas or at home, and he can get people off their duffs and into action. He is very much appreciated (by me, as well.)

Please visit Patti at Soldiers Angels. Our men and women in uniform would surely appreciate it. Thank you.
