Military News: 22 May 2007

I decided to post these four articles this way today, because blogger caught me for posting too many articles. Imagine that? lol.

The program’s goal, he said, is to repair and rebuild existing oil systems and components throughout the country and to restore oil production capacity to pre-war levels. ...

In the main machinery rooms of USS Shreveport (LPD 12), an Austin-class amphibious docking ship, earplugs are mandatory. The spaces are loud and hot, and without the continued attention of the crew, the ship simply would not go anywhere.

ALERT: EU is ripping us off & using OUR name to do it!

This is just another reason why we should never trust an ally, just like President George Washington stated in his farewell address. They will stab you in the back the first chance they get. That is what Europe is doing now.
EADS: Partner or proliferator?
CSP Occasional Paper Apr 25, 2007

In this paper, the Center argues that the U.S.'s involvement with European defense conglomerate EADS poses potentially serious problems for our security. For example, although EADS routinely bids for U.S. defense contracts, it sells military equipment to Iran and China, and has even been fingered in a scheme in which Iran purchased nuclear weapons parts.

If EADS wants to be a legitimate, reliable partner for the U.S., it must stop its dangerous and irresponsible behavior, plain and simple. Its bribery, corruption, proliferation, and anti-Americanism need to come to an end. Also, it must fully make clear the extent to which Putin's Russia - which owns a substantial part of the company - is capable of guiding EADS policy.

Until these behaviors are changed, the U.S. has every right to deny EADS a role in our national security.

View Full Paper (PDF).
We must let all Americans know the truth. This is not right. As a matter of fact, it is very dangerous! We are the informers, so let us inform! Get writing, e-mailing, calling, and doing whatever it takes to get this news to as many people as possible.

We got the truth out about Islam vs. Islamists. We can do this. Thank you for all of your help. Have a wonderful day.

British Hostages (to be) Released

The Counter Terrorism Blog has a fabulous list of experts who have written articles about the upcoming release of the British hostages, and they are ready to be read.

I know of these gentlemen, and they are very well qualified as experts. Even if they do disagree sometimes. It is refreshing to see, because they discuss rather than call each other names. You can actually learn something! Go check them out. Have a great day.

ME, Sudan, and Germany News Round-Up

Let's start off with some good news for a change, eh? Iran releases 8 women's rights activists from jail! This is a good start, but we still have to pressure Iran for the other 25 women they are still holding. If that link no longer works, try this one.

Another good news article is this: Iraqi MP: Some lawmakers to lose immunity. This could have something to do with the government official's whose son was stopped at the border while returning from Iran. The news neglected to mention that the official had his office searched on suspicious of ties with death squads. If that link no longer works, try this one.

The situation in Darfur, Sudan, has finally reached the ICC: Impunity for war crimes against women. This article confronts the daily abuses and victimization of women. If that link no longer works, try this one.

Here is an article that could be perceived as either good or bad. It depends on whether you'd like to know before hand if there is a threat to your person. Saudi authorities warn foreigners of attacks. If this link no longer works, try this one. Please be careful if you have any plans on travelling anytime soon. To find out if there is a threat level increase, check here.

Syria is not doing anything uncommon. It amazes me how so many people are surprised when they find them to be bad actors, including the USA. This time, however, it was the Belgian Foreign Minister Karel de Gucht who left the country with his hands in the air and he shaking his head. If the link no longer works, try this one.

"BERLIN: Bomb-building instructions have been found on the deleted hard drive of a computer belonging to one of the suspects in the attempted bombing last summer of two trains in Germany, a newspaper reported on Wednesday."

I found this to be partial good news. I'm still quite upset about the leader of Hizbullah's brother being released some 2 years ago. If that link doesn't work, use this one.

Update: Nathan is having an open-trackback weekend, and you MUST add this URL to your post. It is only proper! He is a very nice Christian man who I met quite a while ago (through the net, not face to face). He has very good articles, and he likes to stay on top the news as we do. You may want to add him to your blogroll, because I guarantee you will read news you may have missed. Thanks, and have a great day.

I Never Knew Ye

Except for the men who served so well when the times had called upon them, 'tis to they shall I hold in high esteem. As for the rest of you fair weathered-friends, I never knew ye.

How dare you say you were with us, with liberty, only to find you can be bought off by the weight of the day. You do Churchhill a disservice. I pray he is not rolling in his grave.

This war is just beginning. You should know this due to the fact that the Muslims in your midst desire to turn your country upside down and force Sharia Law upon you!

Who do you choose to call upon when this occurs? Spain? Germany? France? Ah, but will we be able to forgive you? I have not forgiven Spain!

PM John Howard is our only true ally, as Australia has 'been with us' since our inception. They have stood with us during all major wars, and we with them. Hmm...didn't they have to rid themselves of your boot from their neck as well? Yes indeed, good-riddance slave masters.

I understand many of you will 'understand' and not be bothered by this. IRAN IS IN CONTROL OF BASRA. Are you alright with that?

Update: I keep hearing everyone trying to kiss Tony Blair's backside. Yes, he's leaving 5000 troops there. How many do we have over there right now? HMM? The press is having a field day with this. We are sending more troops over there while Britain, Denmark, etc., are pulling out.

Now wait just a cotton picking minute! I thought we were doing this unilaterally?! You mean there were others over there from different countries? Who'da thunk it! It seems funny (strange) to me that NO ONE ever spoke about this until they started to leave...when they had already made this known to us. That's right. We were paying attention. We do not listen to the tragedy TV.

So, yes. I am still angry. Why? Because Tony Blair did NOT say he was going to do this, and the Queen's grandson wants to go to Iraq. Coincidence? I think not...

Chad, North Korea and Refugees from W. Africa

There is rising violence in Chad, according to an aid agency-Oxfam. They are urging immediately international intervention to help the situation in Chad. Read more. If this is no longer available, try this one.

There is much uneasiness in the so-called deal made with North Korea. There are no set timetables, and many of the six-party talks have their own agendas. The deal started to unravel before the ink hit the paper. Read more. If this link is no longer available, try this one. For the details of the deal, read here.

"The 400 migrants stranded off the West African coast for 10 days as the governments of two countries argued over their fate continued their wait on land and in the air Tuesday." This was on the 13th of February, and I still don't know if they settled on a place for these refugees. Read more. If this link is no longer available, please try this one.
